Direct to Film (DTF) printing is one of the most versatile and advanced options available for custom apparel today. Using a heat transfer process, full-color designs are printed onto a transparent film, bonded with adhesive powder, and then transferred directly onto the garment of your choice. This method results in crisp, durable prints that work across a wide range of fabrics and with no minimums required, it’s perfect for both large and small orders.
Each design is first printed onto a transparent film using specialized DTF printers and adhesive-based inks.
A powder adhesive is applied to the wet ink to help the design bond securely to fabric.
The printed film is then cured through a heat dryer until it becomes stable and dry.
Once cured, the design is trimmed and positioned on the garment.
Using a heat press, the design is bonded to the fabric.
Finally, the transparent film is peeled away, leaving a vibrant design embedded into the garment surface.
No color limitations! DTF supports unlimited colors in a single design, unlike screen printing which is typically capped at 8.
Ideal for small batches or one-off pieces without extra setup costs.
DTF prints resist cracking and fading over time, even after many washes.
Works on a wide variety of fabrics, including cotton, poly blends, and more.
Designs bond into the fabric instead of sitting on top, resulting in a softer, more flexible feel.
DTF provides high-resolution, photo-quality results on apparel, bags, and more.
