Since 2013, Inkorporate Graphics has proudly partnered with the Inkster Fire Department to provide high-quality apparel and printing services. What started as a need for a reliable, local provider has grown into a decade-long relationship built on trust, community involvement, and innovation.
Captain Ben Ferguson of the Inkster Fire Department first connected with Inkorporate Graphics while living in Garden City and coaching youth football, a program already working with Inkorporate. Looking for a local company to handle the department’s apparel needs, Ferguson turned to Inkorporate to streamline the process.
The Challenge
Before working with Inkorporate Graphics, Inkster Fire faced challenges ordering uniforms and apparel online. Many of the larger, non-local vendors required long lead times, often taking several weeks to deliver. For a fire department, this posed a problem, especially when new recruits needed uniforms right away.

Inkorporate Graphics began with a simple printed order form system. But as technology evolved and after discussing Inkster Fire’s goals, we developed an innovative solution: a year-round online store.
This Inkster Fire Department Webstore allows firefighters and new recruits to quickly order what they need at any time, eliminating long waits and streamlining the ordering process. While it was the first store of its kind built by Inkorporate, it proved so successful that we now use this model with several other customers.
Overcoming Challenges
Launching the online store required problem-solving and adjustments, but both teams were committed to creating the most efficient system possible. The result is a smooth, reliable ordering process that benefits both Inkster Fire and Inkorporate Graphics.
Giving Back to the Community
Beyond uniforms, the partnership has expanded to community support initiatives. Inkorporate prints special t-shirts for Inkster Fire to sell, raising funds for causes like Autism Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, where firefighters proudly wear pink uniform shirts each October.
In addition, Inkster Fire has hosted events such as:
- Autism Awareness Shirt Sales – raising awareness and funds for autism support initiatives.
- Annual Golf Outing Benefit – supporting the Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids and the Inkster Fire Fighters Fitness Fund.
These efforts highlight how both Inkorporate and Inkster Fire remain deeply committed to giving back to the community they serve.
